Liens





If payments are 60 days past due, we will send a Pre-Lien Notice, providing you with the option to make a minimum payment by a set due date to avoid a lien being placed on your property.


For tenants / renters, an additional $7.38 will be charged to your account as we send these notices via certified mail to property owners as well. Once a lien has been placed on a property, they must be addressed and paid with the Lake County

They will send you a bill each month and provide Merrillville Conservancy District with your meter readings.


We will then send you a bill every other month and include two month’s usages in each bill. To better help with a smooth transfer of service, please fill out and submit the form.

When visiting mcdin.com, click on the banner "Pay Your Bill" option on the main page.


Other options for paperless billing and payments include Pay by Text, ACH Enrollment, and E-bills. Please note there is a $2.95 transaction fee per $200.00 to pay with debit/credit card.

why did my bill go up?



Your Merrillville Conservancy District bill is based off your water usage. Please also see ‘Sewer Rates’

why is this bill separate from my water bill?



Merrillville Conservancy District is a separate entity from the Town of Merrillville and the companies that provide water.


The water company will send you a bill each month and Merrillville Conservancy District will send you a bill every other month with two month’s usages.
